My father collapsed in his cell. A guard making a chance visit found him in a pool of his own blood. He was hemorrhaging from his neck wound. Doctors and nurses were pouring blood into him as it was pouring out. All and all he temporarily lost six pints of blood. Once again he was rushed to St. Johns Hospital. Springfield Medical Prison openly acknowledged that they cannot handle his condition...Under normal conditions and circumstances, an inmate would immediately be remanded to a local hospital to receive proper medical attention, but John Gotti need not apply.
